TAYLORVILLE, Utah, April 20, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A 7-year-old boy is recovering at Primary Children’s after being struck by a car Thursday afternoon in front of Fremont Elementary at 4310 S. Beechwood Road.

Lt. Brian Lohrke of the Unified Police Department told Gephardt Daily school had just let out for the day about 3:30 p.m. when the first-grader darted into the street in a “non-crosswalk area” and was hit by a northbound car.

The child was rushed to Primary Children’s Hospital in critical condition, but was upgraded to fair condition late Thursday afternoon suffering from broken bones.
