SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Mitt Romney has made it official.
He intends to run for the U.S. Senate seat that will open with the retirement of Utah Senator Orrin Hatch.
Seventy-year-old Romney — who was a Republican presidential candidate in 2012, and served as governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007 — had announced he would make his Senate intentions known Thursday.
He elected to delay that message after the mass shooting at a high school in south Florida.
