Woman killed in West Valley City auto-pedestrian accident

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, June 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Valley City are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident which claimed the life of an unidentified woman early Wednesday morning.

West Valley City Police Lt. Steve Katz told Gephardt Daily officers were called to the intersection of 3300 South and 1466 West about 1:46 a.m.

When police arrived they found the body of an adult female dead in the street.

Lt. Katz said it appeared the woman was struck by a small passenger car that was heading eastbound on 3300 South.

He said the driver stopped immediately and was cooperating with police.

Investigators say there are no crosswalks in the area.
