LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb. 8, 2016 (UPI) — Legendary singer Elton John joined Late Late Show host James Corden for Carpool Karaoke.

The popular late night segment, which has recently featured Adele and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, featured John hitching a ride with Corden on his way to work during a rainy day in Los Angeles.

The pair sang along and danced to some of John’s most popular tunes including “Your Song,” “Crocodile Rock,” and “Tiny Dancer.”

At one point, the duo donned a lion mask and nose for a rendition of “The Circle of Life” from Disney’s hit animated film, The Lion King.

In between singing, John reflected on his career with Corden and why he still continues to make new music like his recently released album, Wonderful Crazy Night.

“I was never a lead vocalist. Not like Bowie or Jagger. I was playing the piano … I wasn’t a sex symbol, and so I had fun with my outfits. And I just went with it,” the music icon mentioned about wearing flamboyant stage outfits throughout his career.

John also added how younger artists like Ed Sheeran and Grimes inspire him to keep going. “I’m only looking forward. I don’t look back,” he said. “Whenever you hear something new that inspires you from the young, it makes you feel ‘I’m gonna do that, I want to do that.’ So, I still have the energy of a 20-year-old, and I want to carry on… Once you stop, you die.”

Earlier this month, John told presidential hopeful Donald Trump to stop using his music for his campaign that has been playing the pop star’s “Rocket man” and “Tiny Dancer” at recent rallies.
