‘Growing Pains’ patriarch Alan Thicke dies at 69

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13 (UPI) — Canadian-born television actor Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69.

TMZ and ABC News confirmed his death Tuesday.

TMZ reported the “Growing Pains” (1985-1992) and “Fuller House” (2016) cast member suffered a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter, at a Burbank rink.

“JUST IN: Alan Thicke has died at age 69, the actor’s publicist confirms to @ABC News,” the network tweeted.

The former ”Thicke of the Night” host is survived by his sons Carter, Brennan and singer Robin, as well as Tanya, his wife of 11 years.
