April 26 (UPI) — Reality star couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt celebrated their anniversary Tuesday.
“The Hills” alums rang in their eighth wedding anniversary after announcing this month that Montag, 30, is pregnant with their first child.
“Happy 8 year anniversary @spencerpratt!” the mom-to-be captioned a photo from their wedding on Instagram. “Thank you for the best gift… a baby. So excited to continue on this blessed journey together! Love you.”
Pratt’s sister and fellow “Hills” alum, Stephanie Pratt, was among those to wish the couple well online.
“Happy 8th wedding anniversary @spencerpratt @heidimontag !!!! Time flies!! #happilyeverafter,” the television personality tweeted.
Montag and Pratt tied the knot in Pasadena, Calif., in 2009 in a lavish ceremony featured on “The Hills.” The couple confirmed in the April 24 issue of Us Weekly that they’re expecting a baby in October.
“I have never been more excited,” Montag told the magazine. “The reality is sinking in that we are going to have a child! I’ve read every pregnancy book, and now I realize I don’t know anything.”
“Every time I feel [sick], I remember why and I’m just euphoric,” she said. “It’s so fulfilling, and I’m mostly just grateful. I’ve been with the love of my life for 10 years, and now we’re starting our own family.”
Montag came to fame on the MTV series “Laguna Beach” before starring with Pratt on “The Hills.” The couple have since appeared on “Celebrity Big Brother,” “Celebrity Wife Swap” and “Marriage Boot Camp.”
