Nov. 24 (UPI) — “Arrow” actress Katie Cassidy took to Twitter Friday to express her gratitude to those mourning the death this week of her father — singer and actor David Cassidy.

“Words cant express the solace our family’s received from all the love & support during this trying time,” the younger Cassidy tweeted. “My father’s last words were ‘So much wasted time.’ This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute…. thank you.”

David Cassidy died Tuesday at the age of 67, reportedly after his organs failed and his family decided to take him off of life support.

The former teen idol and star of the 1970s sitcom “The Partridge Family” had toured for decades as a solo artist before announcing earlier this year he was retired because he had been diagnosed with dementia.

Words cant express the solace our family’s received from all the love & support during this trying time. My father’s last words were “So much wasted time”. This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute….thank you.
