June 17 (UPI) — Twitter says pop singer Katy Perry is the first person to have 100 million followers on its social media platform.
“Today, we #WITNESS history,” the company posted on its own official account Friday. “Congratulations @katyperry, the first to reach 100 million followers! #LoveKaty.”
“Thank you, @Twitter, for always giving me an opportunity to have a voice! #LoveKaty,” Perry replied.
Perry, 32, released her latest album “Witness” this week.
