Aug. 7 (UPI) — Pregnant actress Mindy Kaling visited the beach over the weekend.
The 38-year-old “Mindy Project” star stepped out with Lena Dunham, Jenni Konner and other pals Saturday in Malibu following word she’s expecting her first child.
“honored guest,” Dunham captioned a photo on Instagram of herself with Kaling.
“Ladies in Malibu,” Konner added to a picture on her own account. “Side note: who will tell me when it’s too much Malibu?”
E! News reported Kaling’s pregnancy in mid-July, with sources saying the news was “an unexpected surprise” for the star. Her “A Wrinkle in Time” co-star Oprah Winfrey later told People Kaling is five months along.
“She told me [ahead of the D23 expo]. My mouth dropped,” Winfrey shared. “She said, ‘Oh, Oprah, I don’t think you know. I’m five months pregnant.’ And I said, ‘WHAAAAT?!'”
“I’m excited for her,” she added.
Kaling has yet to share the identity of her baby’s father, although she previously dated actor B.J. Novak and author Benjamin Nugent. She will return as Mindy Lahiri on the sixth and final season of “The Mindy Project” in September.
