‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ tops North American box office with $62.2M

May 28 (UPI) — “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $62.2 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” with $19.9 million, followed by “Baywatch” at No. 3 with $18.1 million, “Alien: Covenant” at No. 4 with $10.5 million and “Everything, Everything” at No. 5 with $6.2 million.

Rounding out the top tier are “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul” at No. 6 with $4.4 million, “Snatched” at No. 7 with $3.9 million, “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” at No. 8 with $3.2 million, “The Boss Baby” at No. 9 with $1.7 million and “Beauty and the Beast” at No. 10 with $1.6 million.
