‘Star Trek: Discovery’ gets a premiere date — Sept. 24

June 19 (UPI) — The new sci-fi adventure “Star Trek: Discovery” — starring Sonequa Martin-Green and Jason Isaacs — is scheduled to premiere on CBS Sept. 24.

The first episode will also be available on-demand via CBS All Access. The second installment will begin streaming on the service the same night, immediately following the broadcast premiere.

“After premiere night, all new episodes will be available on-demand weekly on Sundays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in the United States,” a press release noted.

The first eight episodes will run from Sept. 24 through Nov. 5. Season 1 will then resume with seven more episodes, which will begin streaming in January.
