OXENFORD, Australia, July 15 (UPI) — Tom Hiddleston has finally spoken out about his relationship with Taylor Swift, shutting down the rumor that the pair were only together as a publicity stunt.

“The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy,” Hiddleston told The Hollywood Reporter. “That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”

The couple debuted in June and the rumors started flying not long after, the most recent suggesting that “Hiddleswift” are only pretending to date for an upcoming “Lemonade”-style video.

Swift squad member, model Martha Hunt spoke about the couple, saying, “I love that they’re both happy and free together. It’s amazing, I’m all about people being happy in love.”

Hiddleston is also celebrating his first Emmy nomination, which he received for his role on the AMC mini-series “The Night Manager.”

“It was a huge undertaking and an enormous labor of love and one of the proudest achievements of my short life and career,” he said.

Hiddleston is currently in Australia filming the Marvel movie “Thor: Ragnarok” which will be released next year.
