NEW YORK, Sept. 14 (UPI) — Donald Trump shared a summary of his recent physical with television host Dr. Mehmet Oz in an episode of his syndicated health talk show that will air Thursday.

Trump pledged on Monday he would release additional information from his primary physician after having received a physical last week. The show said Trump’s longtime physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, performed the routine physical and TrumpĀ provided Oz a summary of the results.

Oz then, “as all physicians do when seeing a patient for the first time … took Mr. Trump through a full review of systems.”

Trump’s campaign initially said the candidate would not use “The Dr. Oz Show” as a forum to discuss his medical history, but later said he would be willing to broach the subject with the popular medical personality who first came to fame as a regular guest on Oprah Winfrey‘s show.

The release of additional information about Trump’s health comes as his opponent,Hillary Clinton, has been sidelined with pneumonia, a diagnosis her campaign initially did not disclose. Her illness was not made public until after she was forced to leave a Sept. 11 memorial service early on Sunday and was recorded stumbling and nearly fainting as she tried to get into her motorcade’s van.

While Trump, 70, has at times questioned whether Clinton, 68, has the “stamina” to be president, until now he has released no formal health records of his own. Instead, his campaign in December released a brief letter from Bornstein describing the candidate as being in exceptional health.

Bornstein’s letter was viewed skeptically by the medical community for its hyperbole — he said Trump would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency” — and for its lack of specifics, referring only to “positive” test results. In medical terminology, positive refers to the positive diagnosis of a medical condition or disease, not the more generic definition of good news.
