2 Dogs Rescued, Revived During North Salt Lake Mobile Home Fire

NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah, July 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Two dogs were rescued and revived by firefighters after a blaze ignited on the front deck of a North Salt Lake mobile home.

South Davis Metro Fire chief Jeff Bassett said the department received multiple 911 calls about 2 p.m. Thursday concerning the fire, in the area of 200 Guenevere St.

Bassett said the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes. He said no residents were home, but two dogs inside the mobile home were unconscious. Bassett said both were revived with a specialty oxygen mask that is made for pets.

An estimate of damage is not yet available and no injuries to humans were reported.

It is not yet clear how the fire started. A total of 18 firefighters were called to fight the blaze.
