DUCHESNE, Utah, July 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials are investigating a crash on State Route 191 in Indian Canyon that killed two people and sent one to the hospital in critical condition Friday morning.

At about 9:30 a.m., a 1992 Ford Ranger was heading south on SR 191 at milepost 282, about eight miles south of Duchesne, a Utah Highway Patrol news release states.

The Ford crossed the center median and struck a 2014 Coach motor home that was in the northbound lane.

The driver of the Ford, who was a man in his early 40s, and the driver of the motor home, who was his 60s, both died at the scene, the news release says.

A female passenger in the motor home was transported by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition.

Officials are not releasing the victims’ names pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation into why the Ford crossed into the oncoming lane is still underway.
