GUNNISON, Utah, Sept. 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An 88-year-old man from Sterling died after a medical issue led him to lose control of his car on State Route 89, police said.

A news release from the Utah Highway Patrol said John Ludvigson was traveling west on SR-89 near mile post 243 on Sept. 20 when his Chevy Cruze ran off the road to the right.

The Chevy went over a dirt crossroad, and launched into the air before landing and rolling once. Ludvigson was the only occupant and did not survive.

Medical issues are being investigated as a reason for the accident, and Ludvigson was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Salt Lake City.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this story as information becomes available.
