AMERICAN FORK, Utah, Dec. 14, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A 19-year-old American Fork man has been arrested on three counts of suspected forcible abuse.

Bailey Glen Strong was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Utah County Jail on charges of forcible rape and sodomy, both first-degree felonies, and of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.

According to a probable cause statement filed by an American Fork Police officer, Strong and the alleged victim met on the dating app Bumble Bee. After talking for a few days, they agreed to meet, the statement says.

Over the course of a few dates, the woman said Strong requested sex multiple times, and she refused. When he initiated acts by force, she repeatedly told him “no” and “stop,” the woman told police.

After the final incident, on Nov. 8, the woman went to the hospital requesting a forensic examination, and police were called in.

In an interview with police, Strong maintained that the sexual acts were consensual.

According to the probable cause statement, Strong has no history of sexual abuse as an adult, but does have a juvenile history involving both females and males.

In a report from his juvenile years, Strong described one of his younger victims as “an easy target,” the reporting officer said in the probable cause statement.
