LAYTON, Utah, July 29, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was the victim of a carjacking and robbery late Saturday afternoon when a man forced her into her vehicle at gunpoint.

Layton Police Sgt. Clint Bobrowski said the woman was in a business parking lot when she was approached by a man with a handgun. The man forced her to get into her vehicle and drive to her bank, where he had her withdraw cash, which he took from her.

Bobrowski said the suspect then drove off in the woman’s vehicle. The woman was not injured.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, possibly in his late 20s. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up and a hat with “white criss-crosses” on it.

The vehicle taken by the suspect is a gray Chevy Trailblazer with license plate D868RL.

Police are asking anyone who sees the Trailblazer or who may have any information about this incident to call 911 immediately. They advise not to approach the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information is made available.
