Update: Bangerter Highway reopened at 7000 South after gas leak

WEST JORDAN, Utah, March 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Bangerter Highway was shut down both eastbound and westbound at 7000 South in West Jordan after a gas leak in the area Tuesday afternoon.

The Utah Department of Transportation tweeted at 4:30 p.m. that the incident was at milepost 14 and drivers were being urged to find alternate routes.

A little after 6 p.m., UDOT tweeted that all lanes are open again and the area is clear for traffic.

The cause of the leak is not yet clear.
