Police search for suspect after bank robbery in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for a suspect after a bank robbery in Salt Lake City Tuesday morning.

A man entered the U.S. Bank at 1575 S. Main St. just before 11:35 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

The suspect then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, the news release said.

Police described him as Caucasian, with short brown hair, in his late 30s to early 40s, wearing a camouflage and white baseball cap and a white Planet Fitness T-shirt.

It’s not yet known whether the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle, or in which direction.
