Bluffdale Police Looking For Couple Who Lured Child Into Vehicle

BLUFFDALE — Bluffdale police are looking for a man and a woman who is being said lured a child into their vehicle on Monday afternoon.

Around noon near a school bus stop by 1100 West 14600 South, a silver SUV vehicle was parked near the bus stop with what appeared to be a couple inside. The bus driver thought it looked suspicious but when he looked back the vehicle was already gone.

The bus’ was equipped with a surveillance camera that caught the vehicle on camera. It also appears the couple in the vehicle had luggage with them.

The boy told his parents he was lured over to the vehicle and even entered the car. police said. Somehow the boy made it home safe and the incident was reported to police around 10 p.m.

The incident is still under investigation and The Children’s Justice Center is also involved to help find out what happened after the child entered the SUV.

The Bluffdale Police Department has increased patrols and are going door-to-door  to talk to neighbors. They are even following the buses and urging community members to immediately report anything suspicious.

This is also being used as a good reminder to teach our children safety protocols or at least a refresher and reminder to always be aware and alert to your surroundings.
