Car fire in Ogden building is under investigation

OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 25, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire at 245 W. 29th St. early Saturday morning.

Ogden Fire Department said in a news release that crews were dispatched to the commercial warehouse at 12:25 a.m., and when they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the building.

Upon entering, firefighters found that a car was burning inside the building.

They extinguished the blaze within minutes and stayed on scene to ventilate the building and make sure there was no extension of the fire.

There were no injuries, and no one was displaced by the fire, OFD stated.

Damage is estimated at $10,000.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and is being investigated by the Ogden City Fire Marshal.
