WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – August 10, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A Utah mom who attended the safety fair in West Valley over the weekend left knowing her infant daughter was safer because of the kind actions of a WVC police officer.

According to West Valley City Police Officer Mike Millett, who was helping the mom make sure her daughter’s car seat was properly installed, noticed the infant had actually outgrown her car seat.

The mom did not have another car seat and after deciding he couldn’t let the baby ride off in an unsafe car seat, he left his post at the fair to purchase a brand new car seat for the family.

“Her safety was so important that Officer Millett took a break from his post at a safety fair to personally help this baby’s mom,” said WVC police on Facebook. “Seeing this baby safely strapped in is a beautiful thing… And so is his dedication to serving others!”
