Child, 5, flown to Primary Children’s after being hit by car in Willard

WILLARD, Utah, May 25, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police and a medical crew responded to an auto-pedestrian accident involving a 5-year-old child late Thursday afternoon.

Officers and medical personnel were dispatched at 5:06 p.m., and arrived on scene at 5:09 p.m.

According a police news release, the child was sitting on a skateboard in a driveway near 100 W. 100 South. The driver of a vehicle didn’t see the child and pulled forward, running over the child, who was then under the vehicle.

The child was transported to Brigham City Hospital and was then airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital for further treatment and observation, according to the release.

Willard Police Chief Jean Loveland said the child is in stable condition and the accident is under investigation.
