Man dead after shooting in Clinton

CLINTON, Utah, Feb. 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — One man is dead after a shooting in Clinton Monday evening.

Authorities responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the area of 1130 North and 1000 West at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday, according to Clinton Police officials.

Police were told by witnesses that between four and eight shots were fired, and that multiple vehicles with their headlights off fled the scene.

No victim was found at the residence, but a short time later police were notified of a deceased man with gunshot wounds, who was found inside a vehicle at 300 S. State St. in Clearfield.

Officials believe the man was involved in the earlier call of shots fired.

Investigators searched the home near 1130 North and 1000 West and questioned some people, but there have been no arrests.

Police said they are looking for multiple suspects.

The deceased man has not yet been identified pending notification of family members.
