Husband In Orem Bicycle Accident Upgraded To Stable Condition

OREM, UTAH – October 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – An Orem woman has died after she and her husband were hit while riding their bicycles Saturday afternoon; the husband was upgraded to stable condition Monday morning.

According to Orem City Police, Kevin Bown, 55, and his wife, Stacy Bown, 51, were riding their bikes around 3 p.m. near 800 East University Parkway when they were hit by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old man who ran a red light.

The couple was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. Police say Stacy Bown died of her injuries around 9 p.m. Saturday.

The accident is still under investigation, but drugs or alcohol do not appear to have beenfactor in the crash.
