TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 16, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people were transported to the hospital Saturday afternoon after their vehicles collided on State Route 36 in Stansbury Park.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Jared Green told Gephardt Daily the crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. when an Isuzu Rodeo heading north on SR-36 crossed the center line and collided with a southbound Toyota Highlander.

The adult driver was the only person in the Rodeo, and two adults were in the Highlander. All three were injured, but Green said he didn’t think any of the injuries were life-threatening.

The passenger in the Highlander needed to be extricated from the vehicle and was then flown to the hospital by AirMed.

Green said it’s possible the driver of the Rodeo was drowsy, but the crash is still under investigation, and its exact cause has not yet been determined.
