Crews respond to Ogden structure fire

OGDEN, Utah, May 16, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire just before midnight on Saturday.

They arrived at the scene, at 1724 Pingree Ave. (S. 150 East) and found the fire in a detached garage near a residential structure.

The fire was fully involved.

“Crews quickly mitigated fire conditions through a defensive fire attack,” a statement from the department says. “Fire was confined to the structure.”

The response included 17 firefighters from Ogden City and Roy Fire departments, with three ladder trucks,
one engine, one rescue truck, one ambulance, and the Battalion Chief.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, the statement said, adding damage is estimated at $50,000. No injuries were associated with the fire.
