SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The FBI has released a wanted poster for a serial robbery suspect who has struck multiple banks and credit unions in the western U.S.

Four pictures of the man, who has been nicknamed the Barrel-Chested Bandit, are featured on the poster, distributed by the FBI in Salt Lake City.

The man is described as between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing an estimated 250 pounds. His age is believed to be between the mid-40s and early 50s.

In every robbery, he has worn a ball cap, sunglasses and blue jeans. In some robberies, he has worn long- or short-sleeve T-shirts and athletic shoes. In one robbery, he wore a black or gray ski jacket.

In some robberies, he is clean shaven and in others, he had a white mustache or goatee. He has displayed a small semi-automatic handgun. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Barrel-Chested Bandit is believed to be responsible for at least eight robberies in the states of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible for these robberies.

The suspect strongly resembles a man caught on video in a Draper robbery as well.

People who have information related to the case are asked to contact their local FBI Office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or to submit tips through tips.fbi.gov.
