The American Fork Police Department identified the woman as Tina Marie Lowe, 39. She was found at about 6:40 a.m. by a customer at Tesoro Fast Gas, 312 N. West State Road.
Tina Lowe was transported to Intermountain Medical Center, where she has undergone extensive surgeries and is still listed in critical condition, according to a news release from the American Fork Police.
“Through our investigation, we believe the suspect in this incident is Tina’s estranged husband, Michael Darrin Lowe,” the release states. “Late Saturday afternoon officers of Lehi Police Department located the suspect’s abandoned vehicle in their city. An extensive search of the area was conducted using resources from the Lehi and American Fork Police Departments, Utah County Sheriff and the Department of Public Safety without locating the suspect.”
Michael Lowe is considered armed and dangerous and possibly suicidal, according to the police. Officers throughout the state are continuing to search for the suspect.
American Fork Police said in a news release Tuesday that Michael Lowe remains at large.
“Investigators have recovered images taken from another business a few hours prior to the incident showing a more accurate physical description of Michael Lowe,” the news release said. “We’re asking for the public’s assistance in locating him. Michael Lowe is still to be considered armed and dangerous.”
