OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Firefighters from Ogden and Roy responded to a fire at 2433 Adams Ave. in Ogden late Sunday afternoon. The building is a vacant three-story apartment building.

Ogden Fire Department tweeted that crews were dispatched at 4:45 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire on the first and second floors.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames on both floors, and continued working to put out additional fires that ran through the pipe chases of the building.

They were able to get all of the fire extinguished fairly quickly, from the basement through the third floor.

The building houses 16 apartment units, but none of them were occupied, so no one was displaced by the fire. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.

The cause of the blaze is undetermined and is under investigation by the fire marshal.
