SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 12, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A FrontRunner train clipped a Utah Highway Patrol car in Salt Lake City Wednesday evening, but no one was injured.

Utah Transit Authority spokesman Carl Arky told Gephardt Daily that UTA police were responding to a report of a woman possibly trespassing and walking on the FrontRunner tracks in the area of 200 S. and 600 West at approximately 11 p.m.

A UHP trooper was also in the area and responded to the scene.

Arky said as a FrontRunner train was slowing down to enter the Salt Lake Central station, it clipped the passenger side of the parked UHP vehicle.

The trooper was not inside the vehicle at the time and no one else was injured.

No further details of the incident were available.
