SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A gas leak in Salt Lake City has forced the evacuation of at least one building and closed parts of 300 West, officials said Wednesday morning.

The gas leak occurred in the area of 300 West and 1125 South, and parts of 300 West are closed between 1100 South and 1300 South. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area. It’s not yet clear whether the evacuation was of a business or a residence, but the area in question houses mostly businesses, including Target at 1110 S. 300 West.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
