LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah, May 31, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A HazMat crew responded to Little Cottonwood Canyon Wednesday evening after a dump truck rolled and began leaking fuel.

Unified Police Department spokesman Lt. Brian Lohrke told Gephardt Daily the incident, which occurred at about 7:30 p.m. in the Lisa Falls area, has not closed the road, but police are directing drivers around the truck.

Lohrke said the driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The speed of the truck is being investigated as a factor in the crash, Lohrke added.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
