HILDALE, Utah, July 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two juveniles are in critical condition and five other people are injured after a crash involving a UTV and an SUV in Hildale Saturday.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Uzona Avenue and Mulberry Street just after 5 p.m., according to Colorado City-Hildale Fire Department officials.

Five juveniles were in the UTV, traveling north on Mulberry Street, and three people were in a black GMC Yukon SUV traveling west on Uzona Avenue, officials said. The UTV came to the intersection and should have stopped at a stop sign, but kept going, and was hit by the SUV, official said.

All five juveniles were thrown from the UTV and were transported by ground ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George; two in critical condition and three others with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Two people in the SUV were also transported to an area hospital; the extent of their injuries was not known.

None of the people involved in the crash have been identified.

It’s not known if those involved were wearing seat belts

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
