HOLLADAY, Utah, May 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for three suspects following a home invasion robbery in Holladay in the early hours of Friday morning.

Unified Police Department spokesman Lt. Brian Lohrke told Gephardt Daily that officials were called to a condominium in the area of 2020 E. Willow Ln. at approximately 4:45 a.m. on a report of a home invasion.

Two men and a woman entered the home, Lohrke said, though it’s not clear if they forced their way in or were let in. One of men was carrying a handgun.

There were two women inside the home, Lohrke said, one of whom was asleep. The suspects forced the victim that was awake to the ground and stole a number of purses as well as money and other items.

Lohrke said one shot was fired inside the home, though no injuries were reported. Police found a shell casing and a hole in the wall.

The three fled in an older silver Dodge Magnum, and were last seen headed south on Highland Drive.

Lohrke said it’s not yet clear whether the victims and the suspects were known to each other, but police are fairly confident that this was not a random incident.

Anyone with information that may help UPD is asked to call 801-743-7000.
