PARLEY’S CANYON, Utah, Feb. 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Interstate 80 through Parley’s Canyon was temporarily closed Monday morning to allow migrating elk to cross the road, according to a tweet from the Utah Department of Transportation.

UDOT tweeted that I-80 near Lambs Canyon would be closed between 10 a.m. and noon while crews work with Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to move elk migrating through the area.

The affected area was from Mount Aire, at mile post 132, to east of Lambs Canyon, at mile post 138.

Roads were opened again at about 11:35 a.m., according to a tweet updating the project’s status.
