Search and Rescue assists woman injured near Kanarraville Falls

IRON COUNTY, Utah, April 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Iron County Search and Rescue teams assisted a hiker who broke her leg in the Kanarraville Falls area Monday, officials said.

The 26-year-old female from Northern Utah was hiking with four friends at 4 p.m. when she fell from the ladder at the upper waterfall, a news release from Iron County Sheriff’s Office said.

The rescue took about four hours, the news release added, and the woman was then transported to Cedar City Hospital.

Iron County Search and Rescue was assisted by sheriff’s deputies, a ropes team and Gold Cross Ambulance EMTs.

Kanarraville is approximately 12 miles south of Cedar City.
