Layton couple rushed to hospital after rollover crash in Idaho

BLACKFOOT, Idaho, Sept. 2, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people from Layton, Utah, were injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Idaho.

The crash occurred at 3:10 p.m. at milepost 93 on Interstate 15 in Blackfoot, according to an Idaho State Police news release.

Jim Williams, 59, was driving a 2015 Ford Fiesta southbound near milepost 92 when he drove off the left shoulder, overcorrected and crossed both lanes of travel.

The Fiesta went off the right shoulder and overturned.

Williams and passenger Michelle Williams, 49, were both wearing seat belts.

Jim Williams was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Michelle Williams was transported by ground ambulance to Bingham Memorial Hospital.

Information regarding their condition was not available.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
