Layton woman injured in Idaho car crash

LAYTON, Utah, March 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Layton woman was transported to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night near Malad, Idaho.

According to a news release from Idaho State Police, the crash occurred at about 10:05 p.m. on Interstate 15 near milepost 20, seven miles north of Malad.

Latisha Beebe, 44, of Layton, was driving a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse southbound on I-15 when she struck the guardrail on the left shoulder and lost control of the vehicle.

The Eclipse continued across both southbound lanes and off the right shoulder, where it rolled. Beebe was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Police said it isn’t known if Beebe was wearing her seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing.
