LOGAN, Utah, March 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Logan City Police is searching for what they are calling a “deplorable couple” who allegedly went on a shopping spree with credit cards taken from a stolen purse.

Logan police said in a news release on Facebook the incident began on March 19 around 3:30 p.m. when the pair smashed a window of a parked vehicle in a shopping center in south Logan. They then stole a purse left inside the car.

“The pair then drove to Wellsville Welcome Mart and purchased several items with credit cards found in the stolen purse,” the news release said. “The deplorable couple then drove to Hyrum where they purchased more items at Ridley’s Family Market. Later in the afternoon they were in Salt Lake City continuing their shopping spree with stolen credit cards.”

The couple also went to a Maverik convenience store, where their pictures were captured by surveillance cameras.

The female suspect has long blond hair and in the pictures is wearing a white baseball hat with a University of Utah logo, a burgundy hoodie, white shirt and blue jeans. The male suspect has a tattoo on his neck and is wearing a black baseball cap, a gray long-sleeved T-shirt with orange stripes, and a necklace. The couple were driving a burgundy car, a picture of which was also captured by surveillance cameras.

Anyone who can identify the couple or their vehicle is asked to call Logan Police on 435-716-9300.
