Update: Police identify woman killed in Logan accident; adult daughter in critical condition

LOGAN, Utah, Oct. 6, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Logan Police Department has identified the woman killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle accident.

Yolanda Lopez, 43, of Logan, died after the accident.

The incident occurred near 2200 N. Main St. at about 6 p.m. Officials said it appears a truck ran a red light in the intersection, and it hit a car as it turned left.

The accident left both Lopez and daughter Lizeth Lopez, 18, Logan, in critical condition. Both were transported to a local hospital, where the older woman died. Her daughter remains hospitalized.

The pickup truck driver, 25-year-old Dillon Hatch, of Preston, Idaho, was not injured. Police said no charges have been filed against Hatch, but the investigation is ongoing.
