MAGNA, Utah, Dec. 5, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A homicide suspect wanted in connection with a Magna murder has been taken into custody in Texas.

The U.S. Marshals Service has taken Gino Cecala into custody in Dallas, according to a tweet from the Unified Police Department.

Cecala, 46, is wanted in the July shooting death of Paige Espinoza. On July 16, UPD officers responded to 8360 W. Mix Ave. after receiving calls of a shooting that had just occurred, the news release said.

Officers found Espinoza inside a southeast bedroom of the home, deceased from a gunshot wound.

“Through the investigation, it was determined that the gunshots came from outside the home, directly targeting the southeast bedroom window,” the news release says.

“Espinoza did not live at the Mix Avenue residence; she was there visiting a resident of the home.”
