WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 4, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who died Monday night in a crash on State Route 18 has been identified.

Randy Hafen, 28, was from Enterprise, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

According to UHP, at about 6 p.m. a semi tractor pulling an empty tanker trailer was going south on SR-18 at Milepost 38, near Enterprise, as a Volvo SUV was in the same location heading north.

The Volvo crossed the center line and crashed head-on with the semi.

The only occupant of the Volvo was Hafen, who died at the scene.

UHP states that the road was wet, with light snow flurries in the area.

Neither drugs  nor alcohol are suspected as having contributed to the crash.
