Man Stabbed After Altercation In Magna

MAGNA, UTAH – October 4, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A man was stabbed in the stomach after an altercation in Magna Saturday night.

According to Unified Police Detective Chuck Malm, officers received a call around 9:20 p.m. about a stabbing at 3305 South Patrick Drive.

When officers arrived, they found the 26-year-old victim had been stabbed in the abdomen and was immediately transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital. He was listed in stable condition and is expected to recover.

Detective Malm identified the suspect as 33-year-old Kristopher Davis. According to witnesses, Davis had been visiting his children at his ex-girlfriend’s house when the ex-girlfriend came home with a group of friends and an altercation occurred between Davis and the friends.

Davis left the scene before officers arrived but was located by Unified Police Officers about a block away from the incident. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on charges of felony aggravated assault, intoxication and probation violation.
