KAYSVILLE, Utah, Sept. 20, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A missing Kaysville 15-year-old has been found safe after apparently driving to California, police said Wednesday.

Kaysville Police Department officials posted on Facebook early Wednesday afternoon that Quinn Hansen had been found safe. Authorities did not immediately release details of where and how Quinn was found.

The department took a report Monday of the runaway juvenile, Kaysville Police officials said in a previous news release on Facebook.

Quinn was reported to be driving a silver 2005 Toyota Camry with Utah license plate E343VM, the news release said. The car allegedly belongs to his brother.

It was verified that Quinn was the area of Hesperia, Calif., later on Sept. 18. Hesperia is 635 miles from Kaysville and it would take nine hours to drive there.

Quinn did not have a cell phone with him and was only using cash to make purchases, police said.
