Mother Arrested for DUI After Rolling Vehicle

TREMONTON, UTAH – August 10, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A Brigham City woman was arrested for DUI after rolling her vehicle on I-15 with her two young children inside yesterday.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, the 29-year-old woman from Brigham City was travelling southbound on I-15 near milepost 381 when she attempted to change to the left lane which was occupied by another vehicle.

The driver swerved to the right, went off the right shoulder causing the vehicle to roll twice before impacting a concrete barrier.

A two-year-old female in a forward facing child restraint device was ejected. Another child, a seven-year-old male, who was in a booster seat, remained in the rear of the car. Neither one of the two children were seriously injured but were transported to a Brigham City area hospital for evaluation.

The female driver has minor injuries and had to be extracted from the vehicle. She was treated at the hospital before being booked into the Box Elder County Jail for DUI and improper lane travel.
