MURRAY, Utah, Sept. 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Murray Police are searching for a missing, endangered 82-year-old man who was last seen at his home Thursday evening.

Nick Kapos left his residence on foot at approximately 7 p.m., and did not return, his family said in a Facebook post.

Kapos’ family said he suffers from early signs of dementia and is normally not able to walk far without resting.

Kapos’ daughter, Kathy Kapos Stephenson, wrote on Facebook:

Dear Friends

My dad, Nick Kapos, has been missing since approximately 7 p.m. last night. He left his home in Murray on foot. Dad has early signs of dementia, so he is most definitely lost. He’s not able to walk far without resting – but now that so much time has lapsed, he could be anywhere. Please help us get the word out, keep your eyes peeled and let me or Murray Police Department know if you have any information.

Kapos is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 176 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a short-sleeved red plaid shirt and prescription glasses.

Anyone who sees Kapos is asked to call Murray Police Department on 801-840-4000.
