The crash occurred at mile post 257 at Main Street/Spanish Fork at approximately 12:30 p.m., Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce told Gephardt Daily. Royce said there were a series of smaller crashes and the semi jackknifed into traffic and hit seven cars.

There were no other injuries that required transportation, Royce added.

All lanes re-opened at 2:30 p.m., but there were residual delays.
