Ogden fire causes $50K in damages, displaces 2

OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 24, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A fire Thursday in Ogden caused an estimated $50,000 in damages to a residence.

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:54 p.m. to a single-family home at 3405 S. Jackson Ave. All occupants were outside the home when officials arrived.

Twenty-four firefighters from Ogden City and South Ogden fire departments responded, with two engines, two ladder trucks, two ambulances and paramedics. They quickly extinguished the blaze, which was in the basement of the structure.

Two residents were displaced, according to information provided by the Ogden City Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
